How Sharing Works

Lessen Each Other’s Burdens Through Member-to-Member Sharing

What is Health Care Sharing?

Health Care Sharing is a way for Christians to help other fellow Christians by sharing the medical costs together in times of needs. With each member choosing an affordable program from Crossway, member’s monthly share amount is matched with another member’s eligible medical bills. Each time a member has eligible bills, those bills are shared among members along with prayers.

How Does Health Care Sharing Work?

No Open Enrollment Period

Health Care Sharing is not insurance. Therefore, Crossway members can join anytime throughout the year.

No Limitation on Networks

Crossway does not have restrictions to use network of providers. Therefore, members have the freedom to receive medical services from choice of their providers and doctors. However, members seeking more convenient services may utilize our contracted providers. Crossway members also can receive medical services from Korea and submit the bills for sharing or for reimbursements.

No ACA or State Penalty

Crossway Health Share is exempt from Federal Affordable Care Act and from the states with individual mandate (Currently California, New Jersey, District of Columbia, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island).

Crossway Sharing Process

* Members will be required to obtain itemized bill or Superbill along with original payment receipt from the provider on the medical services received from the Providers that do not bill directly to CHS.

* All members will have initial three months waiting period before the sharing begins.
